The time has come that I need to address some erroneous remarks that keep going on and on. My surprise is that as REALTORS® you do not check with the source. Who but your CEO knows the dues and MLS fees of other Associations and what they provide. I would have been happy to answer any questions if they were addressed to me.
BOARD DUES
I hear too many times that our dues are so high. Remember I am talking about our local Board dues…we do not have any control over State dues or National dues and/or fees. Below are the annual dues for 10 Associations that are either Mega Associations or Large Associations.

I only chose Mega and Large Associations…there are Medium and Small Associations that are much higher than GLVAR, but I did not think that was a fair comparison. In addition some Mega and Large are less than us due to the fact that they earn non-dues income allowing advertising on their website…something we should perhaps reconsider.

Hi Irene: Your comments are most appropriate. Another issue is the fact that we have had few increases in as far back as I can remember. I hope that the day will come when NAR and NVAR will come to their senses and realize we are in a deep depression and every dollar of expense is so very important. Commissions are fewer and lower due to depressed sales prices. Thanks, Dale Puhl
