Hands Free Starts Saturday October 1stBy: GLVAR , 9/27/2011
Just in case you missed it, Jan 1 will begin a ban on texting while driving and using your phone without a “hands-free” device while driving. If you wish to talk and drive, you MUST use a hands-free device such as Bluetooth or a corded headset.
Beginning October 1st, that’s Saturday, police officers will begin to pull people over and issue warnings about the new law.
Fines go from $50 to $250 and you could have your license suspended for up to 6 months.

I've found the "Jawbone ERA" series (Bluetooth) to be quite effective when driving. It does incredibly well with background noise while driving and offers a number of "features" along with a whole collection of ear pieces and styles. The best price I have found is on Amazon.com.
