Protecting the fiscal well-being of the Association and it’s assets. Accounting staff is available for billing/payment issues and support.
Become involved with a committee. Find Association wide events and happenings. This department comprised of Executive and Administrative Staff oversees the functions and happening within the Association and Committee hierarchy.
The Commercial Board supports their mission statement “Uniting the Southern Nevada Commercial Real Estate Industry” by continuing to partner and sponsor various institute affiliates such as CCIM, SIOR, CMG, CREW, NAIOP and IREM. The Commercial Department offers fully accredited courses with the emphasis on Commercial Real Estate.
The Communication department manages GLVAR’s varied and integrated communications products and services, including: newsletters, print publications; web, e-news and other online and social media communications; media and public relations; and advertising efforts to promote the REALTOR® brand.
Education, determination and consistency are required to succeed in today’s real estate profession. Our profession is constantly changing and mandates that we change with it. GLVAR’s course offerings reflect our ever changing real estate environment. Keep up to date with requirements, earn CE Credit and learn about or join GLVAR’s RRG™ Designation program.
GLVAR provides many services and benefits to the members of the Association: The GLVAR Realstore, Zipforms, Supra keys and lockboxes, Member Benefit Partners and the forms and tools to succeed in the Real Estate profession.
The Association provides an optional Multiple Listing Service to our members. The MLS contains residential listings to facilitate the purchase and sale of real property.
The Political/Government Affairs Department provides vital services for membership that are mostly unnoticed. The main function of the two Government Affairs Directors (GAD’s), is to monitor issues before the various local governments – Clark County, the City of Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, Henderson, Boulder City, Mesquite and Nye County.
Professional Standards provides a way to hold REALTORS® responsible for adhering to the Code of Ethics through the ethics complaint process. GLVAR conducts Arbitration hearings regarding commission disputes, some of which are mandatory. Both Ethics and Arbitration proceedings are heard before a panel of volunteer REALTOR® members.
