The year started off busy for Commercial Alliance with having a table at the CMG (Commercial Marketing Group) VISION 2012 on January 6, 2012 at The Plaza Hotel & Casino.    Ilan Banner demonstrated and explained to commercial and residential individuals what Catylist can offer to members if they join CALV with the statistical information, listings, commercial forms and other reports available to members.

The Vision 2012 program honored businesses in Clark County who have a vision and through their vision have improved the quality of life for Nevadans.  The five recipients were Mayor Carolyn Goodman for the Meadows School; Varian Medical Systems for being the world's leading manufacturer of medical devices for treating cancer and other medical conditions as well as medical, industrial and scientific devices for applications around the world; Pictographics for their digital imaging and show solutions for companies like Ford, the new Smith Center  as well as for the government; and who would of thought we would have shrimp farming in the desert with Blue Oasis Pure Shrimp in North Las Vegas; and finally Forest City Enterprises, Inc., who is currently developing  more than 13 acres in downtown Las Vegas, of which the new City Hall is anchoring the project.  CALV applauds these Honorees. Commercial Alliance wishes to thank CMG for allowing us to be a part of this event.

The Commercial Alliance board is made up of members both commercial and commercial-residential who have an interest in growing our community into a better place to live and work.  This group is pleased to have the presidents from SIOR, CMG, NAIOP, CCIM and CREW sitting on our board along with brokers from major companies in the field of commercial real estate.   Our alliance with these groups has benefited both CALV and I hope their groups as well.

The board this year which I am  pleased to be a part of includes, Tedd Rosenstein, President-elect; Richard Lybbert, Treasurer; Gary  Banner, Past President; and the following  board of directors: Robin Civish, Connie Gamble, Bobbi Miracle, Hayim Mizrachi,   Members: Paul Bell, Maria Herman, Soozi Jones Walker, Warren Klein, and Ryan Martin.

I am asking everyone who lists or sales commercial real estate to give Commercial Alliance and the Catylist system a try this year and become a member of CALV.
