What is GLVAR Doing About It?

Jacquie Ketchersid
Professional Standards Manager

In recent months we have received many phone calls from the membership and the public about agents not returning phone calls, not changing the status of a listing in the MLS, not submitting purchase offers to the bank, putting “For Sale” signs in the yard without offering agent access to the home, and the list goes on.

The Association would be happy to do something, but we need an individual (Member or Public) to file an Ethics Complaint with the Professional Standards Department.  The complaint must be on the official form and there is NO COST involved.  The complaint will be processed and the Complainant will be kept apprised of the progress.  The official form consists of only three pages and a summary and is all that is required to file a complaint.

Unfortunately, we are not able to act on a phone call because the respondent has the right to respond to any allegations in writing as well.

A copy of the complaint form with the Code of Ethics is available by Clicking Here or by calling 702-784-5052.

The Code of Ethics Spotlight is provided by the GLVAR Professional Standards Department. Please direct inquiries to: (702) 784-5052. Legal questions should be directed to NVAR's Legal Answerline at 1-800-748-6999.
