- Why Contribute to PSF

- TOP 10 REASONS TO INVEST IN THE PSF

“Neither liberty or property is safe when the legislature is in session” Sir Edmund Burke, 18th century political observer

The Political Survival Fund (PSF) is the real estate industry political action committee (PAC). REALTORS® are the ones who invest and distribute the money. The PSF gives you access to decision makers in government through campaign contributions to candidates who understand and support REALTOR® issues that affect our business everyday at the federal, state and local levels.

  1. Protects private property rights. This is our business. Strong private property rights make for a solid real estate market.

  2. Prevented a state sales tax on your commissions. This protects your income.

  3. Prevented a tax on the gross or net receipts of your business. You don’t have to share your profits with the State.

  4. Protected your liability from construction defect lawsuits. This keeps you out of court and in the field.

  5. Retained your right to post a for sale sign in southern Nevada. This allows you to properly market a property.

  6. Prevented rent control. This affects the market value of property.

  7. Kept banks out of real estate. This helps you compete on a level playing field and prevents you from being an employee of a bank.

  8. Ensured that your ability to communicate with your clients continued to be protected from onerous federal regulators. This allows you to do what you do best – sell real estate.

  9. Ensured open house directional signs are allowed in southern Nevada. This allows you to properly market a property.

  10. Protects your business from unreasonable government regulation. The way that we do business today could change tomorrow if government laws and regulations change.
